"Uuuh.. What will it take for you to not kill me?" She asked the bounty hunter, looking around for escape routes. This bathroom didn't even have a window- though maybe that was for the best. However for now? She couldn't escape. Maybe she could slide down the bathtub's plug, if only she had a logia.
-
"Comin' peacefully'll do it. Or you could kill yourself. Or better yet, you could pay yer' heads worth. Though, I'll probably just kill ya' anyway. Or I could just drop you off by the Bandit King, yeah, I was in the Bazaar. So what? Look at you, with yer' pink hair and yer' looks while most of us have to get a real, honest job-" She began sprouting off in a tirade. Okay. That should give her some time, at least. She could formulate a plan. There were times when she could flee, and times when she'd have to fight, it looked like one of those times. If she could open the door and use her powers to stretch her fist over and punch her, maybe she could escape out of the window.
-
"-UP YER' ARSE!" She finally stopped. Mishi didn't quite want to know what she had said before, but she got up, grabbing the door handle and whirling her fist back, opening it suddenly and extending her mochi powers to her arm, sending it toward the woman's gut as she screamed. "Mochi Mochi: Megapunch!" The lady caught it right in the stomach, sending her flying backwards and against the wall. Mishi took that opportunity to flee out of the crashed window. Back into the insane heat. Great. She began to run, it didn't matter where, so long as she could formulate a plan for afterward.

Figuring he should find Mishi as he'd offered his services Colton made his way towards the town thinking that was his best shot at locating her. Making his way through the overwhelming heat and sweat which had begun streaming down his face as it was only on the increase Colton tightened the strap to his guitar and climbed a set of stairs leading upwards.

The sound of gunfire, something smashing a little more was heard catching Colton's attention. Turning his gaze towards the source Colton caught sight of a motel. It looked like a dump. Waiting to see if he heard anything further Colton tried to make his mind up.

Could this be Mishi or just some other crook? Was it worth responding to the sounds? Was he really going to work on holiday?

Leaping from the stairs allowing his body to fall apart piece by piece Colton rode on the wind towards the motel ready to put a stop to whatever problem had revealed itself.

He caught sight of Mishi leaving a window and smirked. He'd been correct that Mishi would attract more trouble especially after what the two of them had just undergone.

Reforming on the floor Mishi was on Colton called out towards her.

"Fancy seeing you here."

He spoke up catching sight of a distressed Mishi who appeared to be in trouble once more. Hoping she'd be happy to see him Colton figured if she were in trouble he could help her. He had a deal to follow through with after all.

Mishi ran and ran. She could hear cursing behind her, seems the woman wasn't that happy. She didn't even catch her name, she didn't want to know either. She glanced over her shoulder, the woman was tubling out of the window. It was a pretty steep drop, and she hoped she hurt her ankles. Maybe a sprain, so she can't chase her. If only she were in any position of power, then she'd have poeple to do this for her. Maybe she should round up a bunch of criminals and make a grab for the Underworld Emperor position. Or Empress. Whatever. Not as strong as a Sea Emperor, maybe, but just as rich probably. And marginally safer.
-
She heard something, and glanced to the left and face-faulted. It was Colton. He shouldn't be up now, how long had it been? He was supposed to have a mortal wound or something, she was supposed to be gone before he even got back. Okay. She had a simple way to deal with something like this. He still owed her a favour or two, probably two. Two's a good number. Whole. She flung her hand backward, pointing to the woman lining a shot. "Deal with her!" She says, while continuing to run. She changed her body to mochi as an afterthought, and a bullet passed straight through it. She let out a sweatdrop, and continued to run.
-
The bounty hunter let out a sweatdrop, before glancing at Colton. "Friend of hers, eh? She's got a fruit, y'know. We could kill her and splitĀ  the bounty, seven and a half million, and sell the fruit for even more millions." She says, running after her while reloading.

Spotting Mishi on the run from a bounty hunter Colton raised an eyebrow watching as she curiously fled as fast as she could. Words came from her mouth as a bullet shot from behind her. She wanted him to deal with the lady behind her. Nodding to Mishi as he owed her a favour Colton yawned as Mishi sprinting past him. He just didn't understand how she'd got herself into such trouble so quickly, but that didn't matter right now. The woman spoke about splitting the bounty & the money from Mishi's fruit which was of no interest to him.

"As tempting as the offer sounds, I could do such a thing without your help thanks." Colton replied raising his right hand. Did this bounty hunter really think she could bribe a marine?

Although Colton didn't really look like a marine nor was he wearing the uniform. Shrugging Colton figured that regardless he wasn't going to do it. He'd known Mishi and little longer than he had this stranger and from what he'd weighed up in the time he'd spent with the two was Mishi was the better one. This lady offered him half a bounty whilst Mishi gave him a guitar.

As tough as decision as it was the guitar would always top money. Even if it wouldn't for Mishi.

Colton's hand quickly begun to grow in size taking on the appearance of volcanic ash building up til it was launched towards the bounty hunter lady. Reaching the size of Colton in height the scorching hot hand of volcanic ash sped towards the lady trying to grab her within his hellish clutches.

Reptilian Grasp

Yawning as he waited for his hand to grip the foolish bounty hunter Colton covered his mouth with his free hand.

So much for a holiday

Mishi ran, and continued to run. Hopefully the bounty hunter was good enough to stall him so she could get away. Or rather, they were both good enough to stall eachother for a good, long while. A long, long while. Long enough for her to be on another island. She dreaded travelling by ship, but she also dreaded jail. Colton seemed like an uncaring marine, but he was a fool if he htought she'd take a chance with him, unless he actually WANTED to go crooked. She left a dust trail.
-
"Tsh, thick as thieves, aren't you?" She asks, pointing her now reloaded gun toward him, firing off a shot as he turned his hands to ash. She sweatdropped, turning pale as she, by instinct, put on a gas mask. "What the hell?!" She asks, grunding as she was gripped by the ash. "Devil fruit?" She asks, one arm had been pushedu pward to avoid being grasped, well, mostly. She reached over the grasp of ash, flipping open a pouch as she grabbed a container. She threw it toward him.
-
The container'd burst open on contact with the ground, expanding quickly into a poisonous mist that'd leave whoever breathed it in paralysed and unable to move. She herself was wearing a gas mask, thus protected from both gas and ash alike. Should Colton break his concentration, she'd aim to break out of the grasp and (or, if it broke apart, then just) make a run for it in the opposite direction.

As his grip hadn't quite stopped the bounty hunter in her tracks Colton watched as she struggled. He removed his hand from his mouth as he yawned to see she'd been able to free an arm. Something was seen bein' launched in his direction. Cautious towards the unidentified projectile Colton launched himself backwards leaving a trail of volcanic ashes as he moved.

Increasing the grip on the bounty hunter he attempted to knock her unconscious which would hopefully happen due to the preassure on her body or the agonising pain from the burns that would be left over her body. Either way as long as she stopped and he could catch up to Mishi not much else really mattered. He just wanted to figure out his next move of which he really wasn't certain what it would be.

Since being on this island he'd ruined Mishi's job, lost her stock, revealed his true identity to a ton of crooks & acted most un-marine like which wasn't ideal. But he did have a new guitar.

So something was at least half decent.

I could be tried as a criminal on this island for the assault on this bounty hunter. But thankfully real marines don't give two shits about Bounty Hunter safety. The scum sucking bastards steal our jobs from us.

Smirking after this thought Colton drew his hand gripping the bounty hunter backwards along with his arm only to propel the hand forwards with such force and speed. Upon opening his hand Colton launched the bounty hunter from his grip.

Using the same hand he unleashed a hail storm of volcanic ash in the form of a grander technique of his.

Serpent Spit III: Barrage

Forming lots of small scorching cannon balls from the ash Colton propelled them towards the hunter hoping they would do some damage before she got the chance to get to her feet.

[FLASHBACK ]Burning Canvas - Page 7 Empty Re: [FLASHBACK ]Burning Canvas

Mishi saw salvation in sight. A ship. Commercial. like the ones she usually used. Heck, maybe it'd be someone she knew. If she were lucky, that was. She's been getting a fair amount of anti-luck lately. Now she wished she had those lucky gems she had seen on the previous island, even if they were fakes. At least she'd have something actually to blame other than herself. Damn that Colton. A marine in disguise, she should've known. Well, how could she have? He looked like the most un-marine marine ever. Now she was paying the price. Well, she wouldn't pay the price if she could help it. She heard a noise, the ship - it was signalling its readiness to leave.
-
She sped into the building. "Mishi Hasimoh. Anywhere but here." She said, huffing and puffing. Stupid sun. She put down the moeny required, she'd been here enough to know the exact pricings. She ignored the odd look he gave her as she took her ticket. There was nothign she could do about appearances. She had what she had on her, after all. She could leave this place, go to a random place, then go back to a stockpile, hopefully before any news surfaced. She stepped onto the board, and felt a wave of nausea. She was going to hate this. She closed her eyes and ran onto the boat, opening them only to navigate the way as she opened the door to her room and slammed it, curling onto the bed. This was going to sink. She should get off. Definitely get off - no, she was wanted here, she can't get off. Get off.
-
The bounty hunter let out a 'Tsh' as it seemed the gas hadn't worked, only to groan in agony as the ash burnt her body. "Guwaah! Alright! Alright! I'll leave you two alone, jeez!" She squealed, wiggling her legs while Colton had his inner monologue. However, he had drawn his hand, causing her to push a little toward him, only to push her forth and let go, forcing her into the air as she screamed, only to be hit by a large barrage of ash cannonballs, sending her further and further into the air, letting out a little star as she flew off. Seems she was fairly light.

Watching as the bounty hunter was sent spiralling from his attack Colton sighs. Feeling a sense of relief he's happy to see that he was able to do at least something good for Mishi. Mishi who it appeared was out of sight.

Turning and looking around for her Colton couldn't figure out where she was. Shrugging his shoulders he headed from the area he'd done combat with the bounty hunter and begun to make his way into the town.

He started thinking about the shadowy figure he'd seen earlier and shrugged his shoulders. Whoever it was it appeared that they knew a little bit more about him than he knew about them.

He didn't much care who he was, but it'd be a good thing to keep in mind someone out there might be gunning for him.

Reaching for his guitar Colton landed the guitar into his palms and strummed the strings quickly unleashing a loud lyrical chord into the skies. It was time to pluck the strings of a lyrical artist and bring about a beautiful song in ode to Mishi and the journey the two had embarked upon.

Playing out a few chords which rose into the skies Colton allowed the tunes of his new guitar to surround him along his journey and accompany himself and those who would walk the same way as he made his way through the town square.

Mishi hid in her room. This was horrible. She had to get out, but she couldn't. Either she MIGHT die at sea, or probably die on the island. It was a lose-lose situation for her, but at least now she could simply curl up and wait for either death or salvation. She didn't even know where the ship was headed. She didn't really even care, so long as it wasn't here. Where she's disgraced.
-
Her mind travelled back to Colton, who was single-handedly responsible to the loss of her stash on this island. How much was there? Around two hundred thousand beli's worth. Pale in comparison to her own bounty perhaps, but it was an aggrivating loss for her, an absolute disaster which'll take ages to recover. She'd have to spend more than a year or so recovering from that. She just had to get to her other stockpiles before the word spread. Hopefully. She heard a knock on the door, probably for snacks. She ignored it.
